Oshun Sorin

I am an ethical fashion designer, with a passion for environmental injustice, color exploration, natural dying, and making fashion more accessible for everyone! Within my projects, I have worked to understand how fashion contributes to the environmental detriment and ways that we can still create new designs that are fun and fresh while also being carbon conscious.

Growing up in the rolling hills of the northeast kingdom is where all of my inspiration begins, spending most of my days outside exploring. As a child, the culture around me always inspired a deep interest in nature and the organic flow of patterns and colors that can be found anywhere. As I dive deeper into my journey as a designer is important to me to never forget my true passion, environmentalism.

I began my journey sewing at a young age inspired by quality time with my grandmother. Every summer I would spend a few weeks at her house working on a new project that I could bring home and show off to my parents. These moments with my grandmother really elevated my understanding of what I love and the craft that would become my career.

These experiences throughout my life deeply reflect the meaning and purpose of my work always striving to emulate the beauty of nature and close relationships within her designs.

Moving forward in my career I look forward to working with other designers and always learning from everyone and everything around me.

I love to brainstorm. If you find yourself at the bottom of my about page and you want to know more, reach out! I would love to have a conversation to talk about art, or nature, or even if you would like to bounce around ideas!! You name it, a world where we support the innovation of others around us is a world where we can find infinite solutions, message me through the contact page here!
